Product Description

Shatterproof, Elegant, Reusable...and Recyclable!

This is the ultimate go anywhere, reusable, ergonomic stemless wine glass. Made of proprietary, food/pharmaceutical safe polymer that is virtually shatterproof. This glass is perfect for pool side, picnics, BBQs or anywhere that you don't want breakable stemware.

Details

The Govino shatterproof wine glass was originally created as a trade tool to help professional salespeople showcase their wines whenever and wherever proper stemware wasn't accessible. Govino was designed for commercial use and can withstand most industrial glass sanitation systems (1-2 minutes at 160F). Since domestic dishwashers are so widely varied, we cannot claim this product is 100% dishwasher safe. The govino wine glass is meant to be replaced after an extended period of use.
* Great for use with both red and white wines * This glass reflects the wine's color and aromatics just like crystal * Hand washing is recommended * Please note this is a softer grade plastic, and does give when squeezed * Buy more and save! (Discount reflected at checkout)

5 out of 5 stars SUPER!   December 27, 2009

These glasses are not hard plastic, if that is what you are looking for. They have more flex and that is what makes them spectacular! Not to mention the thumb placement space. I love these glasses for outdoor and indoor use-really wonderful!

5 out of 5 stars Great for the beach   May 29, 2010
Laura Turner (Stonington, CT)
There are a lot of negative reviews on these glasses, but they are really fun for the beach or any kind of outdoor gathering. Yes they are plastic, but the quality is good and they are priced accordingly. Acrylic wine glasses can run upwards of $5 a piece and in my experience have the stems break pretty easily. I like these glasses because they are super light and I like the idea that they are made from recycled material.

Word to the wise: hand wash, I melted a couple in my dishwasher...

5 out of 5 stars Great cups   June 28, 2010
David Smethurst (Berkeley, CA United States)
These are great for pool clubs (no glass), camping (no stems), and picnics. We love them. Great quality, they look good, and they turn heads when we use them.

3 out of 5 stars Shatterproof because the glasses are plastic.   February 4, 2010

These glasses area joke. They are made out of plastic. No wonder they are shatterproof. Ten bucks for four glasses, which you could buy a dozen of at Wal-mart for less than a buck. Once again this proves that "A fool, me, and his money are soon parted."

2 out of 5 stars very cheaply made and not worth the money   February 12, 2010

These cups are made out of the same plastic that bottled water comes in. In fact, you can recycle them. They are flimsy and hardly reusable. They're more like a fancy plastic cup than a "shatterproof wine glass". If I had known how low quality these cups where, I would not have paid $12 for four of them.
