| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description The French bee was originally chosen during the coronation of Napoleon to appear on his official coat of arms. The la Rochere glass collection was inspired by an authorized travel set belonging to Napoleon in which the bee pattern was used. Today that pattern is displayed in a Paris museum, the delightful 3-dimensional bee adorning each piece of la Rochere glassware. La Rochere glass is known for its uniquely clear and beautiful look, yet is sturdy -- heavy-duty enough for every day use, and dishwasher safe. Founded in 1475, the la Rochere factory is the oldest glass factory in France, producing this unique and collectible glassware by melting a mixture (around 1450 degrees centigrade) of sand, soda, and lime, with other added ingredients.

| Customer Reviews: Very pleased with these glasses February 1, 2010 Mr. Fixit (South East USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Very pleased with these glasses. They are very heavy and durable for everyday use. Bought these for my wife, she had been looking for them for a long time and we finally found them on Amazon. Thought the price was reasonable until I saw them a month later on [...] for $10 less. I guess it pays to shop around, but nevertheless, she is very happy with them.
bee glasses July 2, 2010 D. G. Caspe (Scarsdale,NY) I have had versions of these glasses for years....they are durable and fun.I was pleased they are still available to add to my stock.I also am partial to items made in France.
Very cute, 4" tall, wish they made this style in a BIGGER size! January 20, 2008 Alesia 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I've recently purchased several different varieties of this bee pattern glassware. These little glasses--well, there's just something about them. They seem particularly old-fashioned and have a rolled lip so they're sturdy in the dishrack and are well balanced.
Not particularly relevant to a review but I don't know why they are called water glasses.
If you are replacing larger glasses with these, get used to feeling thirsty for awhile until you realize the need to refill somewhat often!
